Header Formatting

MLA headers (not to be confused with the page header where the page numbers sit) rest at the top of the first page of an MLA paper. These headers include: author’s first and last name, instructor name(s), course number, and assignment due date. Text is double-spaced and left-aligned. Dates are written in Date Month Year format.   • Left-aligned 
  • Double-spaced line spacing
  • Author’s name (ex. Bree Johnson)
  • Instructor’s name (ex. Dr. Katie Garahan)
  • Course number (ex. CTCM 2530)
  • Assignment due date (ex. 16 March 2025)
